For me, the Goozex Exchange is a great way to burn through points. I've been selling and trading quite a few items. I’ve been snatching up Big Box PC games left and right. Most of these go from $30-$40 online. System Shock 2 and Strife were two of the games I picked up. I sold a few games from this generation, the ones worth mentioning include a sealed Borderlands 2 and Dragon’s Crown.
There are a few very notable games that appeared on the Exchange. Right after release, Pokémon X and Y were up and went for 6000 points. New copies of GTA V and Injustice Gods Among Us Battle Edition also went for a lot of points. Pandora’s Tower for the Wii, Doom for the Saturn, and several Wii U games were also hot buys. There were also quite a few used games that took off.
I think all this interest and the amount of activity going on, and with the trade counter rising, I think this goes to show that the Goozex Exchange is working. Unfortunately, this has slowed down the regular trading, as most people are turning to the Exchange to maximize their points. This is still a great place to trade games too. In the coming months, as the holidays come and go, I expect the Exchange to get busier. Black Friday means I will be picking up a few games for myself and several for the Exchange. I don’t see the points as a per dollar thing, but more of a what-can-I-get-for-a-small-amount-of-time-and-money invested.
But what is next for the Exchange? The accessories seem to be working and I really want to list a few of my sealed GameCube memory cards. There is an interest in the classic consoles and there are listings for the Retron 2 and a Genesis. I am hoping we’ll start to see modern consoles on the system. It would be fantastic to spend my points on a 360 or a PS2. Who knows maybe a WiiU will show up? I would love to see more DVD boxed sets such as the Sopranos.
I think things are looking up for Goozex, there was a time when I was worried that trading wouldn’t pick up. But it seems my fears have been squashed and for now the site seems to busy and the trade counter keeps rising. If you haven't already, check out the exchange.
