For every article that gets at least 133 pageviews,*** you will receive a $5 Amazon gift card. If your article gets at least 266 views, you will get a $10 gift card. The gift card will be cumulative, so that if you write 5 articles that each get at least 133 views, you will get a gift card worth $25; if you write two articles that each get at least 266 views, you will get a gift card for $20. I do reserve the right to stop this contest at any point in time.
To help you get pageviews, I will post a link to your article on Twitter, Facebook, N4G.com, Google+, and Raptr. You are free to promote your article on other social sites as well such as Reddit and Slashdot.
If there is enough interest and participation, I will continue this writing contest on a monthly basis.
*I would prefer it if you share your article through Google Docs or you can email your articles to mike [at] goozernation dot com. You can use that same email address to share your Google Doc (now known as Google Drive).
**As the Publisher, I will determine what is considered publishable, i.e., don’t write anything you’d be embarrassed to show your mother.
***Pageviews are based on Google Analytics and not the counter at the bottom of the article. Google is smart enough to not count people sitting on a page and clicking Refresh, unlike the counter on each article. The number of required pageviews is based on the median number of pageviews articles received the previous month.
