Johannah Deakin, 43, Louis Tomlinson’s mother, died on December 7th, after losing her battle with leukemia.
The family announced that Johannah had been diagnosed with leukemia in the beginning of the 2016, and the case was rather severe and required immediate attention and constant maintenance.
“We respectfully request that the family are given time and space to grieve in private,” the family stated. Tomlinson’s friends and family immediately took to social media to express their condolences and sympathy upon hearing of his mother’s death.
Dan Deakin, Johannah’s husband remarked on the event by saying that their seven children have learnt and abide by respectable and firm principles and morals thanks to their mother who implanted it in them. “Incredibly selfless, she would always look to put other people before herself,” Dan said.
Dan mentioned that Johannah was involved with various charity campaigns, always helping those in need unconditionally, and that her gratitude and content in life came through assisting others and striving to meet their needs before hers.
Dan expressed his appreciation to the doctors treating her by stating “We would like to send our sincere thanks to Professor Steve Mackinnon and his team at University College London Hospital where Johannah was hospitalized.”
On Saturday, May Tomlinson will appear on the X-Factor nonetheless, to fulfill his mother’s last wish. Johannah had been ecstatic and thrilled in becoming a grandmother and extremely delighted upon Tomlinson’s son Freddie.
Social Media Mourns
Among those who expressed their condolences on social media was Simon Cowell, stating. “Heartbroken for you @Louis_Tomlinson. Your mum Jay was an incredible person. Sending you all my love.” Former bandmates of Tomlinson from One Direction also took to social media, with Zayn Malik saying “Love you bro! All of your family is in my prayers. Proud of your strength and know your mum is too.”
