Paris St-Germain has announced the signing of £160m-rated striker Kylian Mbappe on a season loan from Monaco.
The loan deal comes with an option for Paris Saint Germaine to sign him on a permanent deal.
However, it is not expected that any permanent deal will be up to the 222 million pounds that was paid for Neymar.
“I want to be a part of the project at this club because it is really ambitious,” Mbappe said after the deal was announced.
It is believed that a permanent deal was put aside so PSG wouldn’t violate the financial fair play rules of UEFA.
The president of PSG, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, added “It was important for us to help in keeping the best talent here and develop the French championship.
Mbappe Can Be World Best
“For player within his age range, he is undoubtedly one of the best and has a lot of potentials to become the best in the world.”
“Ever since he burst onto the scene he had established a reputation for being a talented player with a lot of ambition who displays incredible maturity.”
“The deal will most likely eclipse the fee Barcelona paid for Ousmane Dembele to sign him from Borussia Dortmund. Dembele fee overshadowed the 38 million pounds that Real Madrid paid for Vincious Junior.
