Looks like gamers are going to be hit with some tough choices come the end of January. Soul Calibur V or Final Fantasy XIII-2. Don’t worry there is still time to pre-order. The biggest dilemma here is which game has better pre-order bonuses? Here’s a breakdown of the pre-order bonuses for 360 and PS3.
For FFXIII-2 a few retailers are offering both physical and in game pre-order bonuses. Amazon is offering the Omega DLC which lets players tackle the unique boss enemy Omega. After defeating him he will join the party. Best Buy is offering a collectible hardcover book. Gamestop has an alternate costume for Serah and a Genji Bow for Serah as well. Walmart is throwing in a $10 egift card and a in-pack “Battle of Valhalla” poster. Walmart’s $10 ecard seems the best deal but the Omega DLC also sounds cool.
Soul Calibur V has has some decent pre-orders. Amazon is offering $10 in Amazon Credit. Walmart is offering a $10 ecard as well. Best Buy is giving gamers the exclusive Le Bello Character. Gamestop is offering the Ivy Bobble Budd as a pre-order bonus. I guess for Soul Calibur V it comes down do gamers want credits, an exclusive character, or a bobble head. I'm sure the character will come as DLC later. If I was pre-ordering the game I’d go for the Bobblehead.
Compared to what LA Noire, Assassin's Creed Revelations, and Batman Arkham City had for pre-orders most of these are pretty low key. Either $10 credits, DLC, or a physical collectible, it all depends on what you as a gamer want.
