The world’s most expensive player, Paul Pogba, has finally revealed the first items he bought with his first wage and it is two designer shoes.
Paul Pogba returned to Manchester United last season in a deal that set the club back £89 million and the player who comes from a very poor background is now one of the best-paid players in the world.
He revealed that he was in awe of the money that he received during his first spell at Manchester United that he decided to blow it all fast on some really expensive Louboutins in his interview with Esquire magazine.
“One thing that I will never forget is what I did when I was just 18 or 19 and I splashed it all on a couple of white Louboutins
“I didn’t leave my apartment for a month after this, I couldn’t even buy anything else because the cost was alarming and I swore that I will never buy one again.”
“It is really quite funny because if you don’t know how valuable money can be, you feel some kind of way when you see people who don’t have it. Because to me, it was a lot of money to spend on shoes. But life moves really fast so it’s important to do what makes you happy and enjoy life to the fullest whenever you can. You also need beef to look out for people too.”
However, the shoes did not last long as they were stolen while he was playing in Italy for Juventus. He used the opportunity to appeal to the thief to rerun the shoes because it is of sentimental value to him.
I was robbed in Italy and my shoe was part of the loot.” he added.
