Juventus and Brazil defender, Dani Alves, has signed a pre-contract 2 year deal with Manchester City and is now expected to leave for England after resolving his contract issues with Juventus as he looks to reunite with Pep Guardiola.
Dani Alves representatives met with Juventus management on Monday to discuss details regarding his exit this summer.
Manchester City third Signing this Season
Manchester City was willing to bid a low amount for Alves as he had the option of leaving the club for free this season but could now leave for 5 million pounds.
There were also reports that he had come to an agreement with Juventus to leave the club and be a free agent, but this has not to be confirmed to the Italian Stock Exchange as the club is compelled to do in this condition.
Although the basic details of the deals are still being worked on, it is believed that an agreement has been reached with Manchester City on a two-year contract.
It is believed that the new deal will see Alves earn up to 4.3 million pounds on an 85,000 per week deal.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Dani Alves currently earns £60,000 every week with bonuses in Juventus. He was earning about £100,000 a week during his time in Barcelona.
Manchester City expects the deal to be closed within a short period of time barring any issues and it is expected that the Italian Champions will make an official announcement regarding the transfer in the next 48 hours.
Juventus have been known to make statements at around 17:00 GMT, which is about half hour after the local markets in Italy has closed.
Dani Alves will be Manchester City’s third signing this season as they look to compete for titles once again next season.
