Manchester United right-back, Darmian, is reportedly the number one target this summer for Juventus as they search for replacements for Dani Alves who will be teaming up with Manchester City in England.
The Ex-Barcelona man looks set to sign a two-year deal with Premier leagues side Manchester City, after an agreement to terminate his two-year deal with Juventus was reached.
The Italian has endured a torrid time with the old Trafford side, with the likes of Marcos Rojo, Ashley Young Guillermo Varela, Antonio Valencia, Luke Shaw, and Daley Blind all preferred at full-back during his two years with the club so far this season.
Darmian has excelled as a right back for the Italian national team and is seen as an ideal addition to the Juventus side that has always played with three wing-backs in the last six seasons.
The former Torino man cost the Red Devil side £14 million during Louis van Gaal’s time at the club, the Dutch man signed him up from Torino in 2015, the Italian also played for Palermo and Ac Milan. He already has 30 international appearances for the national side and was among the Azzurri side that defeated Liechtenstein with 5 goal margin in their World Cup qualifier earlier this month.
No Official Offer Yet
However, no official offer has been made or received for the defender by Manchester United but it is believed that an offer will be made in the coming weeks. But Darmian has had a cordial relationship with Jose Mourinho and it is expected that the club will reject any offer for the versatile defender this summer.
Darmian got married this weekend and is most likely more focused on his honeymoon than on football issues.
