I asked him out! Britney Spears confirms she is dating model Sam Asghari

Pop superstar Britney Spears has revealed she was the one to ask her new boyfriend out. Britney, 35, who is currently performing in Las Vegas, met her latest partner, Sam Asghari, 22, while making the music video for her track Slumber Party.

She said she asked him out a few months after that because she thought he was cute. In an interview, she said that they had been waiting together for 20 minutes at a time between takes of the video and hit it off while talking to each other. She said that he had not known her as a person and she had no idea who he was and they simply got talking to each other.

The Hit Me Baby singer said she had kept his number and found it a few months later in her handbag. Britney, who has two sons, Sean, aged 11, and Jayden, 10, with her former husband Kevin Federline, was first spotted having dinner with Sam at the end of last year. Britney said that the two had ended up talking about their favourite food, and discovered a shared love of sushi, so had decided to get together for a dinner date.

Totally smitten

According to a source close to Britney, she has been dating guys over the past year, but Sam is the first one who has swept her off her feet. Her new romance comes after an interview in which she said she was tired of men who played mind games and that she was not looking for a man right now. However, she did add that she would be happy if a nice guy came along.

Britney currently has a residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. She has recently posted images of rehearsals, wearing a very racy, lingerie inspired black outfit and a pair of thigh high black boots.
